Adult Tennis Lessons (High School players welcome)
Wednesday evening and Sunday morning adult summer tennis classes. Join PTR certified tennis instructor A.J. Baumwell for a mix of instruction and play catered to beginner and intermediate players. Location either at Lakewood Park or Lakewood High School Tennis Courts. Flexible drop-in format with 5, 10, 15 and 20 class packages. A minimum of four teams is necessary to form a division. Maximum 8 teams. Total games is an approximate number; number of games depends on total number of teams.
Leagues:
Men's "B" DIVISION: Designed for average/above average teams interested in exercise and recreation. Teams will play 20-game season (no guarantees) and/or a March 30 regular season date, plus tournament following. Every effort will be made to make up any cancelled or postponed games. Team registration fee is $250.
There will be Monday/Wednesday Division League and a Tuesday/Thursday Division League.
Individual Fees: All leagues, $20 Lakewood residents / $30 non-residents.
Game Fees - Paid at gym $41 per team/per game
Registration
Men's Leagues : Returning team registration begins October 1
Open registration begins October 15.
Deadline: October 31. Registration is limited and may close prior to deadline if maximum number of teams is reached.
Roster deadline: November 15.
Teams not submitting roster by the deadline may be dropped from the league.

Managers and players are encouraged to attend a pre-season organizational meeting to learn the policies, procedures, and rules of the league. The meeting date is Thursday (12/18/2025) - 6:00pm. Schedules, stats and all other game information are at www.bgsd.com. Go to the basketball league label on the left of the home page and look for the Lakewood league. All dates, times and fees are subject to change without notification.

Online registration for players new this season, subject to manager approval. Managers will be emailed their roster after the roster deadline, prior to the start of the regular season.
Failure to register the minimum number of players required on or before the roster deadline may result in a team being dropped from the league. If a team does not have a complete roster as of the roster deadline a $25 late fee may be charged.
Suspended players are not permitted to register. Copies of the Suspension List are available at the Recreation Department. If a player is found to be participating in a game and has not registered, the game will be declared a forfeit and a forfeit fee will be assessed.

Managers and/or a team designee need to attend a mandatory preseason organizational meeting to learn the policies, procedures, and rules of the league. Meeting date TBD.
